The Journey Home Recovery Center is located in Denham Springs, Louisiana 5miles east of Baton Rouge. Great care has been taken by our staff to create an environment that is not only conducive to the recovery process, but one where residents feel at home. We offer an open ended aftercare program designed to meet the specific needs of each individual resident. The Journey Home is based upon a foundation offering respect, support, and empowerment to females facing addictions.
New Horizons for Young Women is a 6 to 9 week, 4 season, therapeutic and clinical assessment experience that focuses on teaching responsible self expression and communication while learning about ‘self’ for the next step. Our philosophy, programming and overall approach is consistent with a Stages of Change model (trans theoretical research based model developed by psychologists) while applying a
Bio‐Psycho‐Social Model with concentration on the individual, family and sociocultural context.
